Just as Blue is a Swedish bluegrass band from the west coast of Sweden, with their heart in American roots music and bluegrass, but with strong roots in Swedish folk music, pop and jazz. This mix of influences helps create their special sound. From the beginning Just as Blue has been recognized for their songs where powerful instrumental achievements, genuine joy of playing and drive is mixed with soulful singing with lots of presence. Right from the start the one thing that has always been in focus for Just as Blue is the stories that are told through the music. Often the songs are about finding the crooked road that will lead you home. About the longing to be lost, and the longing to be found. With one foot deep down in traditional bluegrass and the other in more progressive sounds, Just as Blue stands steady in the middle. One thing that is always important for them is to convey a lyric, and often the audience tells them how they have been moved by their songs.

Since they started out in 2015 Just as Blue has been playing their music on festivals in Sweden and in Europe. Their stageperformance and warm interaction with the audience makes them a very appreciated live band. In December 2022 they released their long-awaited studio album “Through with falling”. The album was recorded in Studio Epidemin in Gothenburg Sweden. In May 2025 they can also be heard at the compilation album from the bluegrass festival at Spinneriet in Lindome,Sweden.
