Family Tree

”Det är ju ännu mer intressant med hon som blev lämnad kvar när han drog till Amerika”! Det var den tanke som blev utgångspunkten när Just As Blue dök in i sitt nya projekt Family Tree!

De började dela historierna som de fått med sig, om varifrån de kom, vilka som format dem, och vilka som burit dem till den plats där de idag befann sig. Det de fann var historier om flykt. Historier om att söka lyckan på annan plats. Historier om att våga ta båten över havet för att tro på ett annat liv, men sakna det man lämnat kvar. Det var historier om uppoffringar för att barnen skulle få det bättre, och berättelser om kärlek. Den värlsdomvälvande och den som finns att finna i stillheten.

Projektet Family Tree mynnade ut i en konsert med nyskrivna sånger som tar er med på en resa över Atlanten och tillbaka igen. En konsert som börjar i historier från tidigare generationer, men som oandar i vår samtid och ställer de stora frågorna om vad det innebär att vara människa. Frågor som många kan känna igen sig i. Det är en konsert där musiken och texten går hand i hand och vävs ihop till en helhet.
